Every year, around your birthday, the Sun returns to the exact degree it occupied at the moment of your birth. That precise moment creates a new astrological chart — the Solar Return — calculated for the location where you are physically, and valid from one birthday to the next.

How the Analysis Works
The analysis begins with your natal chart — not as a repetition, but as an inventory: what potentials already exist in your life that the Solar Return may or may not activate this year. A Solar Return doesn't create something from nothing — it triggers what was already there.
The annual Ascendant is the first determining element. It defines the energy and attitude with which you enter the year — how you relate to what happens to you, what you do almost instinctively. Combined with the natal house it falls in, it shows which area of your life becomes the "face" of the year.
The annual Midheaven together with the culminating planet — the one closest to the MC — often indicates the central event of the year: what becomes visible, what gets formalized, what comes to the foreground.
The Sun's position in the annual chart shows the main objective of the year — where you will focus your energy, where you will seek to express yourself, and where the most relevant growth opportunities appear.
The planetary distribution across houses shows where most of your energy is consumed this year. If most planets fall in the second house, the year will be marked by financial themes. If they're concentrated in the tenth house, career becomes the main stage.
Each planet in the solar chart is read simultaneously through two lenses: the annual house (available energy) and the natal house (the life sphere where it manifests).
